The Barcode Scan App uses the same users as Exact Online. The app subscription is linked to an Exact Online user and is intended for one employee.
One user, one device at a time
Using the same user on several devices at the same time is not allowed. A subscription applies per user and may be used by one employee at a time. If two or more people work with the app at the same time, each of them needs their own user and their own subscription.
The app records a separate session per device, including the time and the device used. Simultaneous use of the same user is therefore visible.
Switching devices is allowed
You may use the same user on several devices and switch between them. For example a handheld scanner in the morning and a phone or laptop in the afternoon. The condition is that you do not work on two devices at the same time. Close the app on one device before you continue on the other.
Scanning with several devices at the same time
Do you want to scan with several devices simultaneously? Then give every employee their own user with their own subscription. That way everyone works at the same time in the same administration, and in the stock transactions you can see exactly who made which booking. Can I also take out a subscription per device?
Yes, you can for example create the users logistics1 and logistics2 in Exact Online. Each device then has its own user with its own subscription, and those devices may be used at the same time.
Please note that with this approach it is not possible in Exact Online to trace which user performed which action.
