For the Barcode Scan App you need an Exact Online plan with inventory management. The app works with Exact Online Trade and with Exact Online Manufacturing. With Exact Online Accounting only, without an inventory module, the app does not work. Below you can read exactly which version suits your situation.
Does the app work with Exact Online Trade and Manufacturing?
Yes, with both:
- Exact Online Trade: you use the app for stock, goods receipt, order picking, transfers, counts and booking in/out.
- Exact Online Manufacturing: all Trade features, plus production features such as shop orders, material issue, receiving by-products, time registration and production progress.
The production features appear automatically in the app as soon as your Exact Online administration has Manufacturing functionality.
Does the app work with Exact Online Accounting only?
No. Barcode scanning is about inventory and logistics processes. That requires an Exact Online plan with inventory management. A plan with accounting only has no inventory module and therefore cannot be used with the app.
Do I need Exact Online Premium?
Premium is not required for the basic features. Some advanced capabilities do require Exact Online Premium, such as working with a preferred storage location and using extra API capacity for higher volumes. Not sure whether your plan is sufficient? Get in touch and we will be happy to help.
Is the app certified by Exact?
Yes. The Barcode Scan App is a certified Exact Online app and connects through the official Exact Online API. Your data is exchanged securely and in real time, without a separate intermediate solution.
