If you process many orders, a robust solution with an industrial barcode scanner is the right choice. If you only use this functionality occasionally, go for manual entry or use the camera on your tablet or phone. A good middle ground is the use of a Bluetooth barcode scanner or a USB scanner. Manually select products
| In the Barcode Scan App for Exact Online, you can easily search for your items by product code or description. If you only manage a limited amount of inventory, this is a perfectly fine solution. However, if you want to manage your goods flow quickly, use a barcode scanner. |  |

Scan barcodes with phone/tablet camera

Use the camera on your mobile phone or tablet to scan barcodes. To do this, press the barcode icon next to the input field in the app. A pop-up will then appear allowing you to scan the barcode with your camera. This method works well for occasional use but is too time-consuming for heavy use. | |
Bluetooth barcode scanner
| For regular use, it is recommended to use a barcode scanner. This allows your products to be recognized instantly and your inventory is processed in real-time in Exact Online. Pair your Bluetooth barcode scanner with your phone or tablet. Your barcode scanner will then be recognized as keyboard input. Make sure your scanner sends an Enter key after detecting your barcode. This automatically selects the next relevant input field, allowing you to keep scanning without touching your screen.
