What is meant by a user?

The Barcode Scan App uses the same users as Exact Online. The app subscription is linked to an Exact Online user.

A user can use the app on multiple devices. However, this is not allowed simultaneously. This means you can switch between, for example, a handheld scanner, phone or laptop. When you log in on one device, you are automatically logged out on all other devices.

Can I also take out a subscription per device?

Yes, you can for example create the users logistics1 and logistics2 in Exact Online. This allows you to use 1 subscription per device. The point is that you cannot use one subscription simultaneously with multiple people or devices.

Please note that with this approach it is not possible in Exact Online to trace which user performed which action.
