With the Put Away function in the Barcode Scan App for Exact Online you can put away received goods to the correct storage location in your warehouse. After receiving goods at the default storage location, the items are displayed in an overview so you can easily move them to the final location.
How does Put Away work?
When goods arrive they are usually first received at a default storage location (for example an inbound dock or receiving location). From the Put Away function you see an overview of all items that are still at this default location and need to be put away.
The following information is shown per item:
- Item code – The unique code of the item
- Description – The description of the item
- Item group – The group to which the item belongs
- Quantity – The number of pieces that need to be put away
- Unit – The unit of the item
Put away an item
Click on an item in the overview to start the put-away process. The app then opens the transfer screen with the default storage location already filled in as the source location. Scan or select the destination location where the item needs to go and confirm the transfer.
You can also scan the barcode of an item to look it up directly in the overview.
Requirements
- The selected warehouse must use storage locations
- A default storage location must be configured for the warehouse
- Stock must be present at the default storage location
With the filters in the overview you can quickly search by item code, description or item group to find the right item.
