By default, the Barcode Scan App delivers orders when you press the send button. Some companies prefer to pick the order first. After that, another step follows before the order is actually shipped.

It is possible to configure the Barcode Scan App so that orders are not sent immediately. We pick the order by pressing the Out button and then save the picked items as a draft.

Go to the settings and enable this option under the Out heading:

Show only orders without draft

And also select these options under the Out heading:

Drafts

Then save the settings. When you now press the Out button you will see all orders that have not been saved as a draft:

Outgoing goods

Start an order and pick the items as you are used to. But do not press the send button (we just hid it from the settings) and instead press the Save draft button:

Sales order

All picked items are saved but not yet sent to Exact Online. You now have time to perform other tasks. You will also not see the picked order in the list under the Out button because we have filtered out all orders saved as drafts.

If you want to deliver the saved order, you can do so directly in Exact Online. Or you can go to the overview of saved drafts in the Barcode Scan App. This can be found in the settings under the Out heading:

Drafts overview link

There you will see an overview of all saved drafts:

Drafts overview

Open the draft by clicking on the order number. The saved data will appear and you can still send the order to Exact Online:

View draft

Once all order lines have been delivered, the order in Exact Online will be displayed as delivered.
