The Barcode Scan App for Exact Online seamlessly supports your production process with Exact Online in real time. Create your own digital factory by connecting the Barcode Scan App to your Exact Online administration. Once connected, you have all the required data from your work orders available on tablet, industrial barcode scanner or smartphone. Process production orders seamlessly and quickly from the shop floor and feed progress directly back into Exact Online Production. This way you always have insight into the progress of your production process, anytime and anywhere.
Work order overview
When your administration is an Exact Online Production administration, you will see the Work Order button appear on the main screen. When you press this button, you get an overview of all open work orders:
The overview shows all open production orders and is easy to filter so you can quickly navigate to the required order.
In the work order field you can enter the work order number by typing or scanning it to quickly select the work order. You can also enter the item to be produced.
It is possible that not all work orders from Exact Online are visible. Unfortunately, we do not automatically receive all changes in work orders from Exact. Click the Refresh Cache button to load all work orders from Exact Online:
When you have found the correct work order, click on the text “View work order”:
You will then be redirected to the detail page of the selected work order so you can process it.
Work order
From this page you can navigate to various functions and perform actions on this work order. It is also easy to see which materials are used for executing this production order.
Issue material
Press the “Issue Material” button to issue items from the warehouse for the selected production order.
Select the items you want to issue for this order.
There are several different ways to change the quantity of products:
Scan barcode
Scan the barcode of the product to add 1.
Plus or minus button
Use the plus and minus button to change the quantity of products:
Or enter the quantity directly by pressing the number.
Double click
Double-click on the product to take over the full quantity of products. When you double-click on the product, the quantity to be delivered is taken over. When the quantity and the quantity to be delivered are equal, the product turns green.
Optionally add a remark or change the delivery date.
Then press Send to issue the items.
Add material
In addition to the materials linked to the production order, you can also add additional materials to the work order. For example, materials used from the floor stock for producing this work order:
Receive by-products
By-products can be received in the same way.
After pressing the Send button, the indicated items are reported as finished and added to the warehouse stock.
Receive work order
When the work order is finished, it can be closed.
Select the items to be delivered to the warehouse to add them to stock.
Return material
Press the Return Material button to return materials:
Add photo or file
Click one of these buttons to add a photo or file to this work order:
Depending on the device you use the Barcode Scan App with, you will see the camera input or get the option to select a file. When you have taken a photo or added the file, you can find it in Exact Online under the documents linked to this work order.
Log time on a work order
Under routing you have the option to start the time registration of the relevant operation:
Press the start button to start the time registration:
The following button is displayed on the main screen:
If this is not visible, you can make it visible via the settings under the General tab.
By pressing this button, all still open time registrations are displayed:
When the work is finished, you can stop the time registration by pressing the red stop button:
Press the stop button when you are done. A pop-up screen will appear where you can fill in the details:
When you press the Save button, the time registration is closed and immediately fed back to Exact Online.
Material issue for multiple work orders
With the Barcode Scan App you can issue materials for multiple work orders in one operation. To do this, click the “Material Issue” button on the main screen:
There you have the option to select multiple open work orders:
When you click next, you can indicate which items you are going to issue for the selected work orders:
Fill in additional information when needed. For example, when you need to distribute the items to be issued across multiple production orders:
After sending, the items are issued to the selected work orders. You will then receive a summary of which materials have been issued:
