Are you using an iPhone or iPad and want to use the camera to scan barcodes? Then you will need to allow Safari to use your phone's webcam.

Go to the settings:

Safari settings

Then click on camera:

Grant camera permissions to scan barcodes

And select “Allow”:

Allow permissions

This gives the Barcode Scan App access to the webcam so it can be used as a barcode scanner.
